Overview
Job Role: Finance Manager Location: New Milton Job Sector: Insurance Hours: 35 hours per week As Finance Manager you will contribute to our vision of being the leading residential property manager, as recognised by others by: Producing accurate and timely financial reporting in line with The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) requirements to facilitate senior management decision making. Working in a niche broker environment you will be responsible for the accuracy of the financial and regulatory reporting under your control. This role reports to the Head of Insurance of FirstPort Insurance Services for operational purposes and to the Director of Group Finance for functional purposes. About You You are a qualified accountant, ACA/ACCA /CIMA and have extensive previous experience managing financial reporting for an FCA regulated entity Having up to date knowledge of FCA CASS compliance requirements and RMAR reporting means you can advise stakeholders and produce accurate reporting. You have a high degree of computer literacy and extensive experience with and knowledge of the Microsoft software suite and knowledge of Microsoft Navision would be an advantage. Main Responsibilities Ensuring compliance with FCA regulations or other such regulations that may be effective from time to time including adherence to applicable conduct rules and completion of minimum hours of cpd Promote a positive culture in all that you do Responsibility for the accuracy of the financial and regulatory reporting under their control Preparation of monthly management information packs within set timetable Production of the monthly Client Money reconciliation report in line with FCA requirements (CASS) Production of management control reports in line with CASS requirements Maintenance of key operational and financial controls for the business Completion of Retail Mediation Activity Report with MD Assisting Compliance Manager with other regulatory compliance matters Ensuring regulatory capital requirements are maintained in accordance with FCA rules and reporting monthly on this aspect Completion of annual budgets and forecasts Manage invoicing, billing and crediting Assist with purchase ledger processing / statement reconciliations Maintenance of cash book and preparing bank reconciliations Maintenance of fixed asset register Our Values Friendly - We look out for people's best interests, and show them we care by dealing with them in a warm and friendly manner.
