Overview
Altum Consulting are working with one of the world’s leading communications and marketing businesses to secure a Financial Analyst for their European division. This is an opportunity for a bright, newly qualified accountant to move into an analytical role, with senior stakeholder interaction from the outset. Responsibilities will include: Managing a portfolio of countries for which you will deliver commercial direction and financial guidance. Collaborating with in-country CFO’s on all of the financial aspects of their business Analysing the financial performance of your region, identifying risks and opportunities Review and analyse quarterly and annual results against re-forecast and annual plan Analyse regional performance on KPI’s, challenging where necessary Reporting to international head office Maintaining country deadlines and ensuring adherence to the financial calendar A large proportion of time will be spent on ad-hoc projects. These will be varied in nature, for example issues with clients, new business pitches, share disposals, contract reviews, profitability insights Suitable candidates will match the following: Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA ACCA) Exceptional communication skills Demonstrated stakeholder management capabilities Ability to get involved in the detail, but provide pertinent insights from large amounts of data Strong excel skills
