Works Escorts required at HMP Manchester, ongoing temporary contract, 39 hours per week, £10.11 - £10.6 PH Your new company You will be working at HMP Manchester which is based in Manchester, a category A male prison. Your new role This is a highly varied role with many facets. In one capacity, you may be responsible for escorting contractors around the premises, ensuring that work is completed within the official prison guidelines. In this role, you will be working in and out the prisons, in all weather conditions. Alternatively, in another capacity, you may be responsible for another element of the OSG position, where you will be responsible for providing assistance on the gatehouse, responsible for visitor management and ensuring prisoners are where they are supposed to be, this would be a shift role possibly including nights. You may also be deployed in the visitor centre, overseeing visitor hours. The position has the opportunity to apply for permanent positions. This will be a shifts role, which will include shifts, nights and weekends. What you'll need to succeed You must be able to pass an enhanced vetting procedure to qualify for this position. Experience within the security or escorting industry is considered highly advantageous but not essential.
