Our client is looking for Senior Accounting Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accounting Assistant

to join our dynamic finance team. The Senior Accounting Assistant will be

responsible for supporting the accounting department by performing a variety

of accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies

and procedures.


Key Responsibilities

 General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and reconciling the

general ledger accounts.

 Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, ensure timely

payments, and manage collections.

 Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze various financial reports for

management review.

 Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure

accuracy of cash balances.

 Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting software and

maintain up-to-date records.

 Audit Support: Assist in the preparation of materials for external and

internal audits.

 Compliance: Ensure all financial transactions comply with company

policies and relevant regulations.

 Assist Senior Accountants: Provide support to senior accountants for

various accounting and financial tasks.

 Review systems and procedures and assist in the development and

implementation as necessary.


Qualifications

 Education: ACCA Level 2 or similar qualification.

 Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in

a similar role.

 Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks,

SAP) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.

 Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

 Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

 Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

 Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills

with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

 Self-Starter – able to function with little or no supervision


Preferred Qualifications

 Accounting Certification.

 Experience in a corporate accounting environment.

 Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance.

 Experience with financial forecasting and budgeting.

Monthly Salary - TTD$8000
Days of Work: Monday to Friday
Hours of Work: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Primary Location: Barataria, Trinidad
