Our client is looking for Senior Accounting Assistant
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accounting Assistant
to join our dynamic finance team. The Senior Accounting Assistant will be
responsible for supporting the accounting department by performing a variety
of accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies
and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and reconciling the
general ledger accounts.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, ensure timely
payments, and manage collections.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze various financial reports for
management review.
Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure
accuracy of cash balances.
Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting software and
maintain up-to-date records.
Audit Support: Assist in the preparation of materials for external and
internal audits.
Compliance: Ensure all financial transactions comply with company
policies and relevant regulations.
Assist Senior Accountants: Provide support to senior accountants for
various accounting and financial tasks.
Review systems and procedures and assist in the development and
implementation as necessary.
Qualifications
Education: ACCA Level 2 or similar qualification.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in
a similar role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks,
SAP) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills
with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Self-Starter – able to function with little or no supervision
Preferred Qualifications
Accounting Certification.
Experience in a corporate accounting environment.
Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance.
Experience with financial forecasting and budgeting.
Days of Work: Monday to Friday
Hours of Work: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
