Company Name: Mitie Landscaping Job Title: Grounds operator Hours: 40 Hours per week, 07.30-15.00 Location: Various site around Southampton, Portsmouth, Winchester Package: Competitive Salary +pension, holiday, full training plus access to hundreds of discounts in various retail stores and many more Mitie is looking for a Grounds operator to join our ever-expanding Landscapes unit. The grounds operator will be responsible for general grounds maintenance various site around Southampton, Portsmouth and Winchester. Our people make the biggest difference. Reporting to the contract manager, the Grounds operator will carry out ground maintenance duties to achieve Mitie and client standards to maintain our 5-star reputation and exceed customer expectation and any other reasonable ad-hoc duty but will be expected to cover work in the priority areas in a timely manner The Grounds operator will be responsible for: * The Grounds operator will carry out basic duties such as: cutting grassed areas, hedge cutting, plant spraying, gritting * Cutting grassed areas/shrubberies/hedgerows efficiently, will be part of the ground operative role * Provide management with relevant information/reporting as required * Reporting any site issues to the contracts manager * The Grounds operator will be will be gritting as and when required * Driving company vehicles, ensuring they are kept in full tact and any maintenance issues are reported in a prompt manner * Providing swift solutions for any requests, complaints or queries - reporting them to the correct department OR escalating if need be Qualifications: The Grounds operator skill will include: Great communication skills and customer service Gritting and GMO experience (Not essential but preferred) UK Driving license PA1 & PA6 spraying license (not desirable) Basic understanding of mobile phone/text services use
