Senior Facade Designer Lisburn Full-Time & Perm Salary 40,000-47,000 Zenrec Exclusive Company Bio One of Northern Irelands leading specialist architectural glazing contractors requires a Senior Facade Designer to join their established team on a permanent basis. They have been established for 24 years and continues to expand throughout the UK & Ireland on a variety of contracts including retail, commercial, educational and healthcare. Role To interpret architects' requirements on the design, fabrication, installation of building facades, Rainscreen facades, skylights and fenestration via drawings and other related information The post will be based at our head office in Lisburn. Main duties Producing working drawings for all facade elements of each project and to ensure these drawings comply with the project specifications, customer requirements, current regulations and structural engineering requirements Attending technical meetings with Main Contractor, Architect, Project Engineers etc to discuss the project details Attending to correspondence of a technical nature relating to current project Ordering materials and producing factory-cutting instructions to meet the project programme Liaising with factory and site staff for the duration of the project Ensuring all drawing office procedures are carried out in accordance with the Company's quality manual Completing other duties as may be reasonably required commensurate with the jobholder's level assigned by the Design Office Manager, Construction Director or other Senior Management Occasional travel within the United Kingdom may be required Criteria BEng in Civil Engineering or Architecture or other related discipline; At least 5 years' experience within a similar industry; Significant experience of designing aluminium facades, roof lights, windows, etc.; Minimum 5 years' experience where the use of AutoCAD and MS Office software; Proficient communication skills in English both verbal and written (English Proficiency exam may be required in accordance with the Home Office Guidelines).Technically minded with high attention to detail; Be self-motivated; Technically competent; Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; and Ability to work effectively both alone and contributing to a team environment.
