Job Description
PHOTOGRAPHER AND VIDEOGRAPHER REQUIRED FOR AN ASAP START!! OFFICES BASED IN BIRMINGHAM BUT UK TRAVEL REQUIRED £450-500 PER DAY DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE - 6 MONTH CONTRACT. My client is a well known organisation and due to a recent business decision they are looking to bring the Photography and Videography in house having a specialist who can be on hand to deliver a fantastic picture of developments within construction projects across the UK. The ideal candidate MUST have experience of Photography and Videography working on projects within construction/infrastructure as well as having excellent health and safety knowledge. The successful candidate will have all of their own equipment to fulfill the role and requirements of the projects as well as flexibility to travel across the UK. This is an extremely autonomous role so the ideal candidate must have a real vision for creative storytelling using various methods (potentially even drones!) [ The role ] - Under the direction of the Visuals Asset Lead, and in close collaboration with the Senior Creative Account Manager, deliver photography and videography that tells the story of the Project (primarily) and the organisation. - Produce a regular drum-beat of appropriate images, film and footage, both reportage and staged shoots for use across a variety of channels. - Provide quick turn-around photography and film as and when required, sometimes at short notice. - Set up photographic equipment, take photos, undertake retouching, formatting and editing as required. - Create videos by using video templates in line with guidelines, including subtitling and writing captions that tell the story in words, to complement the visual content. - Carry out any other work to support the Creative Team in their capturing, editing, delivering, storing/tagging of photography and video. This may occasionally include briefing other photographers/videographers, retouching images and editing footage taken by other photographers/videographers, and carrying out other duties as required. - Provide data management of all aspects of image production and maintenance. - Travelling to locations across the UK covering construction projects and creating imagery, photography and videos of progress reports [ Person and skills required ] - Experience of working on construction sites, with appropriate accreditation. - Professional corporate photography and videography skills - ability to work within brand guidelines and to a brief to translate messages into strong on-brand images and video reports. - Project management skills - able to deliver multiple projects to tight deadlines and of the required quality, demonstrating ability to handle heavy workload and capacity to work independently. - People and communication skills - ability to engage and corral often very senior individuals and stakeholders to secure the required footage or images in complex environments (eg construction sites), and build productive and effective working relationships. - Analytical skills and a proven ability to interpret and respond to changing landscapes and understand and communicate complex issues with clarity and consistency. - Knowledge of professional imaging techniques, equipment and software. - Knowledge of video production and techniques including editing software. - Knowledge of brand storytelling via photography and moving image. - Professional experience of corporate photography and videography, ideally within a public sector organisation or large-scale infrastructure project. - Experience of organising and managing complex photography and videography projects and schedules, providing high quality services to a wide range of customers to strict time-lines and demanding targets/objectives. - Experience of working in close conjunction with other creative suppliers, such as in-house creative teams, creative agencies, other photographers/videographers to ensure coordinated delivery of requirements.
