Behaviours: Knowledge of relevant procedures Level of customer Service Team Player Health and safety awareness and knowledge Communication Job Description We are looking for a Continuous Improvement management professional who has a tangible track record of Cleaning and lean across production projects 3 month fixed term contract, Competitive salary, company car. The primary responsibility will be creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance. Apply a structured methodology of Lean and Sigma to deliver improvement opportunities Support communication efforts Assess the change impact Support training efforts Based across 2 locations for a key client within our Food Hygiene business, you will be leading aspects such as production line design, value stream mapping and CI projects across the whole facility. Main duties Review all existing processes and methodology to identify any potential efficiencies. Ensure any changes to processes or systems are fully tested, documented, trained and monitored. Ensure that the key metrics/success measures around the process are understood and measurable. Also ensure that these measures are driving benefit to Cleaning Services. Create/provide governance to ensure version-controlled artefacts that are linked to processes and provide governance over any changes - i.e. training material, how to guides. Agree and maintain business owners for each process map who are accountable for the upkeep and version control of processes (i.e. anything that needs to change has sign off from the Business Owner) Ensure that these processes ensure good compliance and mitigate key risks Champion for continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for streamlining work and reducing waste Create 'Lean' processes and design-in continuous improvement capability To catalogue and maintain all artefacts that are created off the back of processes (i.e. training material/communications) and ensure these are version controlled and signed off. To work with the accountable owners of each process to drive the metrics/success measures of the process. To continuously review the process to ensure it's driving the right outcome for Mitie's customers, people and commercials. To design tools and reports to measure process implementation and work with business stakeholders to mitigate risks and deliver improvements evidenced by MI. Prioritise and project manage case load of process improvements. Qualifications Experience required/desired: Cleaning manager / Facilities Manager (Soft Services) Lean Management Sigma - Green Belt Working within a manufacturing/food production environment Significant experience of managing and implementing operational and process changes in a service business Management level of Analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills Able to communicate effectively at all organisational levels. Ability to create Value Stream Mapping is key to this role. Project management experience Experience in compliance and H&S Management. Self-motivated team player able to work on own initiative whilst interfacing with senior management, operational teams and client contact points.
