Purpose The Business to Business Sales Manager will have responsibility for identifying and developing Sales opportunities through a variety of partnerships UK wide, to deliver growth in the new connections channel. Reporting to the New Connections Development Manager, the Business to Business Sales Manager will manage a small dynamic team dedicated to both growing ScottishPower's new build partner base and account managing existing partners. This will involve planning and co-ordination of their activities, reviewing performance on a regular basis against plans and targets, and managing business to business relationships. The role holder will also have responsibility for the execution and delivery of the channel operating plan through development of a close working relationship with other sales channels and business areas involved in the end-to-end new connections process and link with external service providers to drive overall performance and service delivery. Responsibilities + Deliver Channel Operating Plan to recruit new domestic sales opportunities and partnerships that will enable the New Connections channel to achieve its respective: sales, financial, quality and compliance targets. + Through knowledge of the market sector, you will look for growth opportunities through each of the Business to Business partnerships, and through the establishment of new partners you will push for increased sales and value within the channel. + Deliver success through the effective management of key business drivers, i.e. KPI's, Cost, Retained/Gained Volumes, Customer Numbers and budgets. + Initiate and complete complex negotiations, within agreed parameters to win business from industry competitors within tight financial constraints. + Account management of all partners on a frequent basis, reviewing performance and costs against targets with the Sales Development Representatives. + Ensure all sales and competitor activities are accurately reported to enable senior management to make policy decisions based on up to date market information. + Lead and motivate the "New Connections Sales Development Team". Conduct succession planning, performance management and development review meetings. + Manage all controllable costs, at a local level within agreed budget constraints. Work towards eliminating any unnecessary expenditure, as well as extracting full value for all monies spent. + Implement and deliver a sales strategy to deliver required targets from existing and potential customers, and ensure coordination with other ScottishPower Divisions to deliver the desired overall divisional sales result. + Represent ScottishPower at senior Industry level across various third party interfaces including MOPs, IGTs, DNOs, IDNOs & Industry Bodies ( e.g. House Builders Federation) Skills and Requirements We are looking for individuals with strong sales focus and understanding of the value of service and customer engagement. To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate as a minimum: + Good verbal and presentation skills. Highly Numerate and analytical. + Strong influencing and stakeholder management ability + Commercial: strong focus on margin optimisation + Sales focused, strong understanding of the value of service and customer engagement + Line management experience in a Sales, Business or Project Management role + Educated to degree level in a marketing or relevant numeric discipline + Professional qualification or equivalent experience + Extensive travelling required UK wide. What we offer This is a Permanent contract. Salary for this role will be from 40,000 per annum. Other benefits for this role include a performance related bonus up to 10%. As p
