Overview
NPD Technologist, York, North Yorkshire Food Manufacturing We are recruiting for a New Product Development Technologist on behalf of a leading Food Manufacturer based near York, North Yorkshire. The Role: You will work within an established NPD team and assist in all aspects of product and process development from concept to launch. Responsibilities Include: Formulation of product recipes to comply with agreed specifications. Development of commercially viable products, including detailed product costings to meet project briefs. Reviewing existing product recipes to maintain or improve product quality ensuring costs are maintained or improved. Planning and execution of kitchen scale trials within agreed project timescales. Assisting with the planning and execution of production trials in conjunction with NPD, Production and Technical teams. Preparation of product specifications. Administration of NPD systems and procedures to prescribed timescales. Document and control changes to existing and new recipes. Preparation and administration of product sensory panels. Researching current consumer markets and latest technologies to keep abreast of market trends and develop new product concepts. Development of good working relationships with all departments of the business The Ideal Candidate: Experience in a similar NPD role within the food sector A relevant Diploma or Degree or equivalent in a food related subject. Strong creative flair, with an interest in working with new product concepts and development projects. Be highly motivated, able to plan their own work schedule, working alone or as part of a team.
