Overview
Agile Delivery Manager To manage the delivery of test automation and test field management software solutions for the automotive development sector. Applications include automation, real-time control and data analysis/management functionality and are used for testing e-motors, engines, powertrains, vehicles and related mechanical components. Your duties will include (but not be limited to)…. Delivery of software solutions by guiding several small, agile, multi-disciplinary, distributed teams To achieve these deliveries via close liaison with product managers and product owners, scrum masters, tech leads and the wider development team To participate in scaled daily scrum meetings working with other delivery managers to remove impediments across development To work with the teams to generate and maintain fully resourced development and delivery plans while focussed on constant improvement To track progress and manage related issues on the basis of both short and long-term milestones in full cooperation with the development team and product management To report regularly on the status and outlook of projects To line manage and mentor a small number of development staff To liaise with and support the Customer Support Manager in the management of resellers, end users and end user installations. To communicate with stakeholders To manage sub-contractors and nearshore/offshore resources Skills, Experience and Personal Qualities: Proven track record of delivering medium sized software development projects, using distributed teams and working within a formal software development process with an emphasis in agile techniques such as Scrum, DevOps and ScrumScale Familiarity with different software development lifecycles and experience of Agile and DevOps methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, CI/CD and Lean A focus on continuous improvement of all aspects of software development; culture, efficiency, knowledge and quality Comfortable with developing appropriate metrics and using historical data to produce realistic project plans Educated to degree-level, preferably in a related discipline Good people skills - confident, with clear communication skills, willing to listen and able work with different national and corporate cultures Robust, able to work under pressure Team building and leadership skills Personal commitment, loyalty and integrity Some level of awareness of some or all the following software technologies: oMicrosoft Windows oMicrosoft .NET and .NET Core, C#, oAngular/Typescript oDocker oClient-server and service based enterprise architectures oReal-time control oSource control systems e.g. Git, StarTeam etc. oAgile management software such as Azure DevOps Other: Clean driving license Comfortable with air travel Domestic and international travel is an essential part of this role. The position is based in Worcester in the UK but involves significant travel to Europe, North America and Japan.
