Overview

Management Accountant permanent job for a Manufacturing organisation on the outskirts of Carlisle Your new company A new and exciting opportunity presents itself with a medium sized finance team within a Global manufacturing organisation based on the outskirts of Carlisle. This role will report directly to the Financial Controller and will join the finance team on a permanent basis. The organisation is commutable from North and West Cumbria. Your new role Working as part of a team, the Management Accountant will be responsible for: Management of Management Accounting & Reporting team (two direct reports), ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy / procedures Actively developing MA&R team members Acting as a key business partner to wide range of stakeholders, both within finance and cross-functionally Assist with the preparation, review and communication of financial results to strict deadlines, with focus on the following areas of responsibility: Turnover - Sales volumes & revenues Freight charges SG&A costs, including R&D Working closely with the Operational Finance Manager to understand impact of Operational performance on UK result Monthly VAT and Intrastat submissions for group Assisting with the preparation and review of annual budgets in accordance with timeframes Apply a continuous improvement ethos towards all processes and assist with the development and redesign of various reporting and analysis tools Administration of capital expenditure, providing assistance to other functions with investment appraisal when required Administration of all Lease accounting to ensure full compliance with IFRS 16 Administration of agent commission agreements ensuring all accruals and subsequent payment are in accordance with contractual agreement Liaising with both Internal and External auditors Timely preparation and submission of various statistical questionnaires Acting as key support for UK Financial controller, providing cover when required Acting as the financial lead on various cross functional projects as required Other ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required What you'll need to succeed Fully Qualified Accountant / past finalist CIMA/ACCA with strong technical ability will also be considered Experience of working in a Commercial environment is essential Hands on accounting experience ideally within the Manufacturing sector Strong analytical skills, with proven track record in problem solving High level of accuracy and attention to detail Self-starter who can work on own initiative Ability to manage multiple activities and priorities in order to meet tight deadlines Excellent IT skills Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to a wide range of stakeholders What you'll get in return Competitive annual salary dependent on experience and PQE 25 days holiday banks Contributory pension scheme (matched from min of 4% to max of 9%) Private healthcare (individual cover) Company bonus scheme What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
