Product Owner – Agile Our well renowned and well respected client is looking for an experienced Product Owner, with specialist Agile skills to join their team based near Guildford, on a permanent basis. The Product owner will work with the product development team to ensure that they have a clear understanding of the functionality they need to build and why. The Product Owner will also liaise between the Product Manager and the development team so that the product backlog is managed and understood. The Product Owner will work a 37.5 hour week, be rewarded with a highly competitive salary, a generous car allowance scheme, as well as a brilliant bonus and benefits package. Product Owner – Agile – Key Skills: Commercial experience in a Product Owner, Business Analysis, Project Manager or similar role Experience working in the motor industry would be beneficial Thorough understanding of Agile product development processes gained in a product development role Some technical knowledge is an advantage Learns quickly Is reliable, organised, proactive and enthusiastic Able to run meetings Communicates clearly both verbally and in writing (or diagram) Has experience in a BA, PO or similar role in an Agile environment using Scrum/Kanban Understands online/digital product development principles Experience working with online/digital products developed in Java would be an advantage. Product Owner – Agile - Responsibilities: Gain a deep understanding of the product and its market to provide advice and support to the Product Manager Work with the Product Manager and UX Designer to facilitate product discovery Provide analysis to support decisions made during product discovery (e.g. usage, analysis of current behaviour, gap analysis) Create user stories and maintain the product backlog to ensure the development team are working on the prioritised features Assist with prioritisation of the product backlog Participate in daily stand-up meeting Work with the product team to ensure user stories are fully prepared in time for refinement Run backlog refinement with the development team to ensure features are built incrementally and in a logical order Run product review meetings Release co-ordination Liaise with internal IT teams outside of the core product development team, to ensure service delivery and support is effective Attend customer meetings to elicit requirements and provide consultancy services on client systems Assist in definition of acceptance criteria for requirements Product Owner – Agile – Benefits: Car Allowance Bonus scheme Brilliant benefits package Onsite parking Product Owner – Agile Due to the volume of applications received for positions, it will not be possible to respond to all applications and only applicants who are considered suitable for interview will be contacted.
