What’s needed: 3 years of experience as a technical writer, preferably documenting cloud-based software products and/or APIs. A proficiency in a programming language such as JavaScript, Python, Java, Ruby, etc. and be able to use the code to create, edit, and test documentation-related websites. The ability to create prototype implementations (including lightweight API integrations) to test documentation accuracy and effectiveness. Experience of producing training and learning materials that help developers understand how to use an API product. Comfortable with HTML, CSS and Markdown. An aptitude for organising information and clearly describing complex business workflow, data management, and Internet networking concepts. The ability to build strong working relationships with the product, engineering, and customer success teams. Desirable skills: Working knowledge of Swagger, Textile and Github or another code repository. A good understanding of real-time technologies, event-driven architectures or streaming services.
