Overview
An opportunity has arisen for someone with relevant experience and great enthusiasm to join our gardens team, looking after the widely acclaimed gardens here at Sledmere. Open to the public all year round and now recognised for our innovative and re-imagining of the traditional country house garden, this is an ideal chance to gain further experience in a forward thinking and well-resourced garden. Whilst maintaining its very high maintenance standards, it is intended that the garden will continue its development programme and the successful applicant can expect to be involved in both aspects. Sledmere House & Gardens are enjoyed by thousands of visitors every year and our gardens team are positively encouraged to engage with members of the public to interpret their work and current garden projects. To this end, the applicant can expect to take a regular share of “duty gardener” shifts which will include weekends and public holidays.
