Overview

Assistant Surveyor We are looking to recruit a surveying assistant to support other consultants within a property consultancy based in Central London Full training on the technical and legal aspects, which may be new to candidates, will be given on the job. Duties include: Site visits including, where sites will include many prestigious commercial developments; Photographing sites, processing these photos and handing them to surveyors and CAD technicians for consideration and inclusion in reports and calculations; Obtaining Land Registry documentation for new projects; Local authority liaison for plans and other documentation; Liaison with internal departments such as the CAD team; Consistently chasing documents and ensuring deadlines are met; Becoming familiar with building plans and elevations; To examine legal documents and deeds and assess their relevance to the new development; To ensure all records relating to sites, contacts, drawings, schedules are stored in keeping with company guidelines; To assist Senior Surveyors with fee proposals and reports. Growth: Working in such a specialised field we understand it is likely that the candidate will require training in our discipline and this we will provide. Initially, therefore, the candidate will assist other members of the department with all the above whilst gaining experience. The goal is for the candidate to be able to manage all the above independently, but their background will affect how quickly this can be achieved. Once the candidate is sufficiently experienced, we would like them to aid growing and developing this area of the company.
