Overview
Job Title: SDE2 Java Developer The purpose of this role is to help develop the building of our new eComm platform. This is a senior SDE2 role, where the developer will need to work and deliver in an agile fashion. The role requires good communication and team working skills along with a strong technical background in Java Development. The role will give an opportunity to work on a new green-field project in order to better Holland and Barrett's online Customer experience. Main Responsibilities: Deliver in an agile delivery mode using CI/CD principles Build Java Services in a reusable and maintainable fashion Ensure Quality Assurance - Unit and Integration testing Working with Cloud Deployment services on AWS Strong Analyses and Documentation skills Maintain the use of best practices and design patterns DevOps approach to Development The Person: Good Team Working and Communication Skills Ability to analyse and document Ability to make good technical decisions Technical Skills: Essential 5 years of Programming experience with primarily Java-J2EE based technologies Experience building services on Spring Boot, in a complete Dev-Ops mode of development Experience building and consuming RESTful webservices and microservices using Spring Boot Desirable Experience working with GraphQL Experience in building Web Services/SOAP Services & Consumption Experience in integrating with DynamoDB, Apache Kafka Docker and Containerisation Kubernetes CI/CD Pipelines
