Overview
We are currently recruiting a Registry Course Administrator to support the Faculty Registrar, Assistant Faculty Registrar(s) and Registry Course Officer, in the designated area, in those functions that fall within the remit of the Faculty Registry and Course Support. Main Duties and Responsibilities Deals accurately and efficiently with enquiries from staff, external organisations, and liaises regularly with other staff. Provides administrative support for the development of, and changes to, courses and modules. Carries out accurate and secure maintenance and operation of manual and computerised record systems, including undertaking data inputting. Assists with the management of the examination and coursework moderation process. Supports the designated area by assisting in preparations for quality and other audits generating reports, as required. In liaison with staff, ensures that all course and module documentation, assessment documentation, and module descriptors are maintained accurately and updated. Acts as Secretary to Boards of Studies, Assessment Boards and other Boards and Committees, scheduling meetings, researching and preparing papers, minuting meetings and co-ordinating follow-up actions. Maintains appropriate secure archiving, filing and record systems in accordance with the retention policy. PERSON SPECIFICATION Good standard of education up to and including 3 A-levels (grade A-C) or equivalent; and including GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above or equivalent Good Honours degree or equivalent. Knowledge and experience of working with Microsoft computer software packages and using email and the internet in a professional capacity. Demonstrable, relevant experience of administrative practises. Previous experience and proven ability to organise and minute meetings. Practical experience of working in a busy office environment Ability to prioritise and manage own workload, work to operating plans, meet deadlines and monitor outcomes.
