Overview

Our client is looking for a GIS Engineer / DevOps Engineer to Support Senior Solutions Architect with the workflows and processes needed to have stable and efficient server systems to provision for the MSPX Managed Services requirements. The role will design and integrate working solutions using Esri ArcGIS software systems on virtual machines on private cloud systems, including MSPX, Amazon AWS, and Azure. You will diagnose and resolve problems/issues with server systems, networks and GIS within the VM environment. The Engineer will maintain overall system health with periodic service checks, monitoring logs, routine maintenance activities and Interface with IT/DevOps teams to ensure/support overall operational criteria and policy, including upgrades, security, out of hours call out, disaster recovery, system updates. The right candidate will have: Continuous Integration tools Web application support / debugging Good understanding of Database technologies in cloud environments. Use/understanding/exposure to at least one high level programming language Scripting (Perl, Python, Powershell) Various Windows and Linux OS administration Networking (LAN / WAN / Internet) Competent with Microsoft SQL Server Competent with PostgreSQL/PostGIS Network Fundametals (DNS, IIS Configuration, Topology, Web Services) Cyber Security Fundamentals Please send in your word CV to apply and for more details for this great role with great career progression Please note that due to a high level of applications, we can only respond to applicants whose skills and qualifications are suitable for this position.
