Bioinformatician, DNA, Genomics, Oxford My client, a leading Scientific R&D Organisation are seeking an experienced Bioinformatician to join their team based-in Oxford. The successful Bionformatician will work closely with Lab scientists and data analyst to conduct benchmarking and evaluation as well as present findings in meetings and webinars for next generation sequencing (NGS) The Role As the Bioinformatician, you will be working on analysing DNA sequencing data in multiple biological contexts. Your role will involve benchmarking, evaluating, and comparing different existing analysis methods to find best practices for customers using these sequencing devices. This is a collaborative role, working with lab scientists and other Bioinformatician, and data analysts to interpret complex DNA / NGS data The Company The Bioinformatician will be joining a truly exceptional company and one of Oxford’s most exciting R&D institutions. For this Bioinformatician position, we’re looking for experience with: Previous experience with Bioinformatics, either from academia or commercial work Experience analysing large data sets Scripting – Python, Perl or R DNA or next generation sequencing (NGS) Ideally, the Bioinformatician will also have experience with: Statistics Experience working closely with lab scientists What Next?
