You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £26,399 per annum (incl. ILW) pension & other benefits. In this role, you will support the homeless and at risk young people to maximize their income, improve their money management skills and train staff on how to work with Depaul's vulnerable clients. The work will help young people overcome personal debt and financial illiteracy and develop the skills and confidence to managing money, so they can achieve and maintain independence. What makes this role exciting? - A full induction and training to enhance the ‘hard’ and ‘soft’ skills required’. - Training in the Depaul Endeavour model. - Continuous support and supervision including reflective practice to develop your learning and skills as a practitioner. What will ideally support your success in the Young Persons Advisor role? - Diploma in Information, guidance and advice or equivalent qualification. - An excellent ability to make financial literacy accessible, interesting and relevant to young people. - Update knowledge of the welfare system. - Experience of developing and delivering training sessions to engage young people in group activity. - Experience of working in homelessness / youth work / advice / social work or legal field. - Knowledge of the statutory and voluntary resources available to young people.
