Are you an experienced Support Worker looking for a new opportunity? If so, we're recruiting for a new colleague to join the team based in the Solihull area on a 27-hour per week 12 month fixed term contract. (This will include 3 full days – Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday, and 1 half a day on Monday of Friday) You will be working as a Housing Support Worker with a mixed case load of customers in their own homes, you could be supporting people with sensory needs, learning disabilities or mental health, and families within their own homes across Solihull. You'll work 1 on 1 with our customers and their families, drawing up a support plan and working with them to sustain their tenancy and increase independence. Taking a holistic approach to support, you’ll look at each customer’s individual needs and work with them to achieve their goals. What’s the role all about? Oversee the day-to-day running of your services and buildings ensuring they meet contractual requirements Work 1 on 1 with our customers, drawing up a support plan and working with them to increase their independence Budgeting customers incomings and outgoings Maximising their benefits Assisting with getting back into work/education Promoting independent living skills and dealing with every day challenges. Do you stand out from the crowd? We want somebody who: Develops and maintains effective joint working relationships and protocols locally Ensures colleagues are working to the Bromford quality standards, providing guidance where necessary Experience of working with customers with sensory need / sight and hearing limited would be advantageous Creates and maintains a customer focused and welcoming environment Takes a holistic approach to support, you’ll look at each customer’s individual needs and work with them to achieve their goals Builds on and works in partnership with external services in order to help our customers to sustain their tenancies, develop independence and build positive and inclusive lives within the community. Candidates must have a full UK driving licence and access to a car due to the nature of the role.
