Overview
Urgent Senior Network Analyst required As a Senior Network Analyst you will be responsible for maintaining and updating the network services and private cloud offering for a software company who supply into the financial services industry. Along with helping innovate and automate to help keep up to date with the market. This Senior Network Analyst role will be a permanent position joining a successful team based in Solihull, close to Birmingham, paying a competitive salary along with benefits and structured career progression. The Senior Network Analyst will ideally have good knowledge of the IS infrastructure (hardware, databases, client devices, operating systems, directory services); along with a good technical understanding of Desktop OS, Server OS, Remote Working methods and their relationships with other systems. Technology includes: VMware Networking Technologies, including VLANs and Routing Windows Operating Systems Microsoft SQL Server Microsoft Exchange Active Directory, DNS and TCPIP Responsibilities will include: Takes ownership of network or related issues and help determine a strategic approach to resolution Produces KPI's regarding fault calls and root cause analysis of how these may be proactively reduced. Carries out daily checks regarding backups and network health. Pro-actively monitors the network and network services systems and resolves or escalates (as appropriate) any issues in a timely manner Following agreed procedures, receives requests for assistance by providing information to enable callers to solve their problems. Maintains accurate log entries of contact with resolution details and follow-up information Works with other IT personnel to assist with project activity, as required. Helps to promote sharing of knowledge within the team by assisting as required in cross training and maintaining a disciplined document management process Undertaking other ad-hoc duties within your capabilities relevant to the job and reasonably requested of you by your manager.
