Overview
Finance Analyst Nuneaton £30,000-£37,000 We are currently recruiting a commercial Financial Analyst for a leading retailer based in Nuneaton. For this role, you should hold a degree and have a Desire to be/Be part qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA. Knowledge of forecasting models and cost accounting processes are key requirements for this position. Ultimately, you will ensure the FP&A team assist the business in driving profitable growth. Key Responsibilities: - Will be responsible for producing daily, weekly and monthly financial reports and reviewing Weekly Trade performance for senior management and ensuring: - Promotion of one number through the business - Timetable of reports are scheduled and efficiently produced. - Responsible for supporting Commercial / Retail business decisions through - Analysis of current and past trends in the KPIs including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, SG&A, EBITDA - Monitoring performance indicators, highlighting trends and analysing causes of unexpected variances - Improve performance by evaluating key events ensuring that the business maximises the ROI - Develop financial models and analysis to support initiatives - Supporting Business Partners with in depth analysis - Providing suggestions on how cost savings can be achieved in the department - Supporting the compiling of Budgets in line with the agreed timetable in conjunction with management - Supporting analysis within set timescales to queries raised by the sales meeting on a weekly basis - Supporting the pre, in flight and post promotional forecasting - Supporting Retail target setting Retail and understanding the Branch level store P&L's - Assist Business Partners and the Head of FP&A with problems of outstanding areas and carrying out one off projects as required You will need to have/be: - Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA - Proven work experience as Financial Analyst or similar role with excellent analytical skills - Experience in Management Accounting and Month End duties - Hands-on experience with financial and statistical software - Ability to communicate to non-financial stakeholders - Expertise in MS Excel (sumifs, vlookups, Pivots, formulas) - Experience of working in a Finance function supporting commercial teams with Sales and Margin performance as well as costing (ideally in Retail) would be advantageous If you feel you have the skills to match this role, please apply now for immediate consideration Macildowie is a specialist recruitment consultancy with a rich history of enhancing the careers of professionals across the Midlands and the Northern Home Counties.
