Job Evaluation Officer A fabulous opportunity has presented itself to work for a Birmingham city centre based client. Due to a large project my client are looking for someone to support them on a 24 month fixed term contract. This position sits within the HR department. The role focuses wholly on job evaluation and research. You will work closely with the Reward & Recognition team and the wider HR function. Duties and responsibilities will include: To support the Job Evaluation & Research team to research, review and develop job evaluation methods, as directed by the Reward & Recognition Manager and Senior Job Evaluation & Research Officer. To assist the Job Evaluation & Research Team, in fulfilling its aims and objectives; managing individual performance using a variety of leadership and coaching skills to ensure outcomes are delivered. To maintain data relating to the Job Evaluation & Research team, providing analysis, as requested. To fulfil organisation wide job evaluation, ensuring schemes are applied consistently, objectively and robustly to maximise fairness and transparency and minimise risk of equal pay claims. To ensure all records are kept meticulously, using a variety of methods, paying attention to the need to validate in the event of legal claims. To work collaboratively with the Reward & Recognition team to advise, consult and negotiate job evaluation matters with Trade Unions, encouraging a proactive working relationship. To demonstrate a good understanding of all terms and conditions of employment, and use this to inform all job evaluation considerations. To support the Senior Job Evaluation & Research Officer to engage with stakeholders to ensure change is embraced and delivered. To provide pro-active, accurate, professional support, advice and guidance, throughout the job evaluation review, ensuring excellent knowledge of relevant pay and conditions, HR policies and legislation. To maintain an awareness of key strategic and policy issues and act in accordance with the organisation values and behaviours. To liaise with HR Teams regarding restructure work and impact on job evaluations. To liaise, make enquiries with and respond to all requests for relevant information from employees, internal and external clients and other external organisations using all communication methods available. You must be a strong communicator and possess meticulous attention to detail. It is important that you are a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
