Overview
Chief Financial Officer, Edinburgh We are currently engaged with a growing Tech SaaS business in their search for their next CFO. As CFO, you will be responsible for taking on a leadership role in all financial decision making and will provide strategic financial input to the Executive Board. Working closely with the company’s external advisors, the successful candidate will play a key role in performing and developing strategy, liaising with key stakeholders, developing and maximising growth opportunities as well as improving the financial health of the business, as they look to grow revenues by 30% over the next few years. Within the core areas of responsibility, you will: · Closely support the CEO in the strategic running of the business · Assist in formulating the company’s future direction and support tactical initiatives · Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy · Provide advice on how to increase revenue and reduce costs · Advise the CEO and members of the Executive Board on policies and processes required to improve business performance and maintain appropriate corporate governance · Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner · Propose action plans to ensure annual financial objectives are attained · Coordinate all tax documentation to maximise the company’s position · Address the potential financial consequences of key risks in a proactive manner · Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Finance and HR department These provide only a brief summary of some of the key areas of responsibility held within the role. In addition, you will be expected to demonstrate a broad understanding of corporate functions outside your own area of expertise and the ability to work collaboratively with Directors, Managers and staff at all levels, across UK operations. We are looking for an individual who will come with a fresh pair of eyes, will challenge the status quo, and will ultimately play a key and pivotal role in taking the business to the next level and in doing so, see revenues increase in line with the agreed growth strategy. Skills, Knowledge & Experience required: · At least 10yrs experience in a senior finance / CFO defined position · Experience of working within a Tech SaaS business would be highly desirable · Proven experience of delivering results and facilitating change within a fast growing business · Ability to drive strategic initiatives, both financially and organisationally · Strong working knowledge of management strategies and personnel planning · Ability to provide inspiration and clear direction to the team, in line with company goals, mission and values · Previous experience of acquisition negotiation and post-acquisition integration · Fully qualified (CA, ACCA or CIMA) For further information and to discuss this opening in confidence, please contact Ross Gunn.
