Overview
White Label is pleased to be working with one of our key clients in Liverpool to secure an Automation Engineer for their growing engineering division. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small but rapidly expanding business has grown 30% year on year, and is due to have another record year in 2020. As part of this growth the company is in need of an Automation Engineer to be responsible for working as part of the project team to design, develop and implement automated systems. They will develop strong functional skills to deliver projects that support the company’s objective and project goals. The company is open to looking at both experienced candidates and more junior Graduate’s/ Apprentice trained candidates with relevant qualifications in mechanical/ electrical engineering. Core Responsibilities Work as part of the project team in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of complex electro-mechanical systems. Carry out system assembly, testing, general system Programming and configuration. Assist customers and other members of the team as and when required including but not limited to installations and on-site client support. Support and maintain robotic data collection for trouble shooting, keep accurate day to day maintenance log as and when required. Act as training advisor for sales efforts and or development of training material, matrices and or plans. Assist in the preparation of company technical training material to ensure relevant training material is in place for client (and future employees) training Carry out technical visits to existing and future clients as necessary. Develop required skills to diagnose and solve problems throughout system design, installation and operation. Other duties that are deemed appropriate as and when required. Person Description Key qualification and demonstrated experience Ideally some experience in the design and development of bespoke automated systems and or relevant degree level (or equivalent) qualifications Exposure to working on a shop floor or within a hands-on environment would be really beneficial Mathematic ability particularly with 3D geometry Proven ability to provide technical solutions to complex technical problems Excellent problem-solving skills Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Excellent team leading abilities Willingness to travel Good organisational and time management skills, able to prioritise under pressure and work to tight timescales Ability to research, digest, analyse and present material clearly and concisely. Excellent interpersonal skills. Attention to detail. Excellent word processing and IT skills, including knowledge of a range of software package Forklift truck licence desirable Experience of CAD or ECAD packages desirable Driving licence The company is offering a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business, with excellent progression prospects for the future.
