Leading UK Housing Association are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis in Manchester Your new company Your new company are one of the UK's largest and most recognised Housing Association's with over 65,000 homes across the country servicing around 140,000 customers. They have a number of multi-disciplinary teams and have a brilliant structure for progression, as well as some quite exciting plans for over the next few years so it's a great time to join. Your new role In your new role you will be working in the Planned Delivery team within the Asset Maintenance side of the company. You will also have line manager responsibilities, leading a small team of Quantity Surveyors and managing Quantity Surveying services to national teams delivery planned investment across the company. You will also get to project manage on bespoke, high value and major works projects, all giving you a challenging but fun and diverse working environment. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful in this role you will need to be either MRICS or MCIOB with experience within social housing or a contractor environment - as well as with cost management, framework contracts and commercial management of contracts using schedule of rates. You should also have extensive experience of programme delivery, financial monitoring and control. As you will be tenant/stakeholder facing it's important that you have excellent customer service skills and an approachable and professional personality. What you'll get in return In return you will get a salary of around £57,000, rising to £60,000 after 12 months.
