Landscaping Estimator

Permanent Estimator role, Derbyshire, Landscaping, Salary up to £30k Your new company You will be working for an industry leading specialist contractor that work nationally with over 5 regional offices. The company work in both the domestic and commercial landscaping sectors but this role will focus on the commercial sector. Project values will range from small works up to £2 Million.You will be working for the Derbyshire office and reporting directly to the Director of the division. Your new role The role will involve a range of commercial duties with some support and development from senior members of staff. Examples of the duties include; Analysing clients BOQ's and technical specifications Extracting information from tender drawings including taking off quantities manually and using IT software Compiling bills of quantities Collating quotations to calculate materials, equipment and labour costs and where appropriate looking for alternative delivery methods and pricing to maintain a competitive advantage Liaising with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors Utilising different computing packages and online tendering portals Preparing and submitting compliant tenders to meet required deadlines Liaising with other elements of the business to assist in the handover of projects Following up on tender submissions, monitoring and updating tender registers and compiling reports for senior management What you'll need to succeed To be considered candidates will have at least 1 years industry experience in an Estimating capacity within construction. Experience of landscaping or groundwork would be highly beneficial but not a necessity. A full UK driving license is also essential.
