Overview
Our local authority client is looking for a Grave Digger to join their team on a full time, temporary basis. This is currently a full time position until the end of April 2020 unless extended. Job Summary To assist in the upkeep of the City’s six Cemetery’s, undertaking a wide range of horticultural and grave digging duties, this will include grass cutting, hedge cutting, collecting wreaths, manually and mechanical digging and preparing graves, dress graves ready for interment and back filling and tidying of graves. The job requires that you will work outside in all weathers (PPE will be provided) to ensure that we fulfil our commitments. Candidate Profile The candidate must be physically fit and be willing to work in all weathers and work well in a team to meet tight deadlines, ideally, they will have a knowledge in either grounds maintenance and/or grave digging. The candidate must be aware of the sensitive nature of the type of work we do and be aware of family’s needs. All candidates need to have a full UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle to be considered for this position
