Overview
Permanent children's support work role - Southampton Your new company The company's residential homes can support young people requiring single occupancy through to single-sex or mixed gender homes for up to 9 people. The residential home is based in central Southampton and supports children between the ages of 9 -19. This is an ideal opportunity to join a caring organisation and work in a challenging and supportive environment. Your new role The role of a support Worker is extremely rewarding however you will experience behaviours that are challenging. The role supports children with various conditions ranging from Sexual exploitation, Sexually harmful behavior, Substance abuse, Offending behaviours, Eating Disorders, Emotional, behavioural difficulties. Your new role will provide extremely valuable training including Makaton training, Team teach and help support you with your level 3 NVQ in health and social care. What you'll need to succeed You will need to be able to drive and have your own vehicle. You must have the right to work within the UK. Experience of working with children and young people.
