Overview
Trading System Support A leading financial organisation are looking to hire a trading systems support to keep the fixed income trading systems up and running. Skills Required: ION Trading/Market view High (the platform runs on ION and custom components are developed on top of it) SQL Intermediate (understand existing queries, write new ones that will require at least knowledge of functions such JOINS/GROUP BY/ORDER BY, Temp tables, stored procedures) Scripting languages Intermediate (Batch and Shell scripting mostly) Fixed income knowledge Intermediate (Should understand what bonds and differences between what the Rates/EM/Credit desks are) UNIX Intermediate (Able to navigate around directories, open files, copy files, search, change file attributes, check performance of server, check disk space on server) Core Responsibilities: Keeping the fixed income trading system up and running Upgrading of components on the platform. On request Regularly dealing with traders' queries. Direct interaction with business and development team Soft Skills: Ability to lead / guide Good analytical skills Good Interpersonal skills, written & verbal communication skills Exposure of working with International clients and cross cultural teams
