Overview
Permanent Accounts Assistant required for a business in Derby near Pride Park working in a small finance function offering onsite parking and excellent benefits including enhanced holiday and pension scheme. This role will be reporting into the Finance Manager where responsibilites will include Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Payroll duties such as: • Code, input and obtain authorisation of purchase invoices for 10 sites • Supplier statements • Liaise with customers to solve payment queries • Creating a weekly Bacs run in order to pay suppliers on time. • Calculate and journal monthly Prepayment • Reconciling the company credit cards • Contacting clients with overdue balances by telephone, email and post. • Completing court applications for debt owed to the company by following the small claims court process. • Setting up finance agreements with clients using an external finance lender. • Arranging payment plans for clients who did not qualify for external finance. • Support other team members with aged debt such as the VIP and insurance department. You will also support Payroll by collating hours weekly, processing holiday pay and SSP and being a point of contact for payroll queries. The ideal candidate will have previously experience in a similar role, will be confident in the full Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger process and will have a can - do, energetic attitude. Previous Payroll experience is essential for this role.
