The Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is a specialist provider of complex mental health services, providing clinical excellence in our eating disorders, adolescent, rehabilitation and PICU services. Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Cheadle Royal Hospital operates a comprehensive inpatient mental health service for young people aged between 13 and 18 years, comprising open acute and psychiatric intensive care services. The Young People's Service is made up of three wards; Meadows, Orchard and Woodlands. Meadows is a 10 bedded mixed psychiatric intensve care unit that offers care for young people with a range of mental health presentations with enduring high risk behaviours. An acute admissions ward, the multidisciplinary team offers a wide range of interventions and works closely with families and locality teams to ensure a smooth transition back to the community. The therapeutic programme emphasises the development of new life skills and coping strategies whilst continuing formal education. Qualification: Bsc (hons) Occupational Therapy The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assessment and treatment of a designated case load within the frame work of an established programme. Involving the following: To ensure ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the Occupational Therapy process in line with sound evidence based practice. To attend MDT, CPA, case conferences, referral meetings and nursing handover. To manage a defined caseload using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions and records all interventions. To abide by the College of Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct and the College of Occupational Therapy Professional Standards for OT Practice. To develop skills and knowledge through participation in a Professional Development Planning process to meet the competency framework. To work with CAMHS setting providing a service to clients who are deemed to have complex and challenging needs. To manage and supervise TI staff. Flexible approach and attitude - occasional weekend work maybe required but would be agreed in advance.
