Overview
Role: Systems Analyst/Developer Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 21% bonus more. Location: Coventry A large organisation in the educational sector are looking to recruit an Analyst/Developer to deliver and support the technical implementation of learning systems and applications. Responsibilities: Support learning system applications, including technical implementation, developing ad hoc enhancements and reports and verifying software upgrades. Design and develop system & data integration solutions between learning support systems and other systems. Monitor systems and undertake enhancements as appropriate to improve reliability and functionality. Work with users to identify and document requirements. Develop and implement maintainable systems using appropriate tools. Liaise with suppliers regarding software delivery and implementation. Implement and test software upgrades in consultation with users and software suppliers. Work within multi-disciplinary project teams. Requirements; Experience of configuration and implementation of IT systems to support teaching & learning. Experience in the configuration and application of appropriate IT/technology solutions. Experience of full development lifecycle from requirements gathering and process design to system implementation. Broad programming experience (e.g. Java, PHP) Web development experience (e.g. CSS, html and java script) Experience of analysing data and developing reports from databases. The ability to understand and explain systems and methodologies to others. The ability to work within a team of IT staff and users. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Excellent analytical skills. Desirable: Experience of implementing a Virtual Learning Environment, preferably Moodle. Knowledge of the SQL and database design University Degree ITIL Foundation qualification. Awareness of Prince II project management.
