Overview
Cathedral Appointments are looking for a Test Manager for our Newton Abbot-based client. Our client is a market leader in their field who are working with a range of cutting-edge technologies following an exciting period of growth. As Test Manager, your role will be to act as line manager for the QA team and manage the test and strategy for the business. You will need to ensure that all testing is planned, risk managed and documented. To be successful for this role you will have experience in automated testing. Any experience in release would be advantageous. You will ideally have experience working as a Test Manager but candidates looking to progress into a management role will also be considered Responibilites: Defining of the test strategy and test methods Risk management and effective documentation of testing Create test plans for each business function Effectively utilise the test team to perform tasks efficiently Ensure effective reporting of test activities Arrange all hardware and software requirements prior to testing Defect management and future proofing of testing through automation Release management alongside all testing duties Development of the existing test team, as well as recruitment to grow the existing function Requirements: Experience in a testing role - with experience of both manual and automation essential Ideally people management experience with the ability to develop the testing team function, though individuals with the aptitude and desire to move into a management role will also be considered Experience with release management would be advantageous but is not essential Experience of PRINCE2, SCRUM, AGILE, XP and Kanban methodologies A PRINCE2 Foundation or Practitioner, or equivalently qualified in similar project management methodologies Experience of PMO tools such as JIRA and Confluence This is a great opportunity for either an experienced Test Manager or someone looking to step up into a management role.
