Meter Readers required to work for Northumbrian Water Cramlington - Alnwick - Durham - Middlesbrough - Washington - Thornaby - Darlington Full Time 37 hours per week Hours between 7am and 6pm 7.5 hour days with an early finish on a Friday £9.31 per hour 3 months minimum PURPOSE OF JOB To ensure the timely and accurate cyclical reading of the company's meter infrastructure and assist with the exchange of faulty meters and the resolution of measured supply queries within the agreed timescales & service level agreements. JOB OUTLINE/KEY RESULT AREAS To collect accurate readings from the company's meter infrastructure. To assist with the maintenance and exchange of faulty meters. Resolution of measured supply queries within current agreed timescales & SLA's. DUTIES Cyclic meter reading. Replacement/repair of defective meters up to 25mm when found defective. Defect forms issued where repair not possible. Occasional assistance with covering special/adhoc reads. Completing daily performance sheet & meeting agreed targets. Regular upkeep of company vehicle to required standard. In addition: line managers may request employees to carry out other reasonable tasks in line with operational needs.
