Overview

A Year 3 Primary Teacher is required on a full-time basis to start in September with a view to securing a temp to perm contract. The Primary school is 2 form entry and they have implemented a 3 Teacher model in each year group which allows for more focused teaching and learning and more importantly collaborative planning allowing for a better work life balance. An energetic, creative and experienced primary teacher is required to teach a year 3 class starting in September 2020. The Head is looking for someone who brings enthusiasm and commitment to the role. The class has been very well managed and there are established schemes of work in place to support the planning. There are a number of international staff at the school from Australia, Europe, New Zealand and Ireland so applicants from overseas teachers are welcomed providing you hold QTS and long-term teaching experience. For UK-based teachers (ex-London), the Head Teacher is open to initial telephone calls to discuss the role and school in further prior to a formal interview. The school is located close to Thornton Heath station and is accessible via a wide range of public transport networks. This is a well-established school in the London borough of Lambeth with a progressive Head Teacher and SLT leading the school. Wellbeing and mental health is valued and yoga and mindfulness programs are offered to students and staff. The school boasts several multi-purpose outdoor areas and classrooms are larger than average given the school’s central location. A vegetable garden, several playing courts and spacious sports hall allow students to access a wide curriculum in addition to various extra-curricular and after-school activities.
