Overview

Accountant role focusing on IFRS 17, paying up to £48,000. Your new company This internationally recognised provider of financial services have proven, and continue to prove, their dedication to helping individuals take responsibility for their financial security. The company have recently established a programme to prepare its business for reporting under IFRS 17 - the recognition, measurement, presentation and disclosure of insurance contracts. Due to the requirement to develop this team, an Accountant position has become available. Your new role You core responsibility will be the technical consideration of IFRS 17's requirements as they apply to the company and detailed accounting disclosure requirements. You will support the implementation of detailed methodology for change requirements to comply with IFRS 17. This role will also mean you will work closely with key business as usual financial reporting teams and actively participate in group meetings. What you'll need to succeed In order to succeed in this role, you will have a detailed understanding of IFRS financial reporting, with a background in financial services or a professional firm. You will have experience and skills in managing change, including rule interpretation and seeking solutions. Your ability to drive financial strategic change and influence senior stakeholders on key accounting strategies will allow you to thrive in the role. The company are looking for a qualified accountant. What you'll get in return In return, you will be offered a salary between £38,000 and £48,000 depending on experience.
