Overview
Network Healthcare are currently seeking Support Workers to work with our client based in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. We have positions available at a Day Centre offering hours Monday-Friday, 08.30-16.30 with an unpaid lunch break. The Day Centre is based in a residential area and the nearest bus stop is approximately 10-15 minutes’ walk. There is no train station nearby. Due to this it is recommended that staff have access to a vehicle or alternatively are willing to undertake the journey using bus services but aware that it is a short walk from the bus stop to the Day Centre. The service is a Day Centre environment which offers adults with a variety of levels of learning and physical disability, older adults and adults suffering with dementia a safe environment to be whilst being well looked after. Clients are offered a service which allows them to be supported, socialise, gain independence and undertake activities that are tailored to their needs. The main aim is to provide a high quality service that recognises the individuality of each client and to offer personalised care and support to a consistently high standard. In this role, Support Workers will be expected to provide appropriate emotional, social and physical support for clients including planning and helping clients take part in a range of activities and live their lives as fully and independently as possible. Support Workers will be expected to assist with toileting and personal care for those who are less able as well as feeding. Please note that personal care will be required for both male and female service users. You will be part of a team whose aim is to encourage the development of clients’ strengths and interests within a structured environment in which clients feel secure and empowered. In order to be considered for this position candidates must have some experience working in Adult Social Care, either with older people or learning disability and be committed to delivering a high quality service and an excellent knowledge of safeguarding.
