Overview
The Role Petersham Nurseries in Covent Garden are looking for a passionate, ambitious and motivated HR Managers. HR function is an integral part of the operations and is focused and committed to providing exceptional customer service both internally and externally. The role will suit a candidate with a strong hospitality and/or retail background. You will be involved in all aspects of employee journey, support operations team, leads HR practices and objectives that will drive an employee-oriented; high-performance culture. You will be head of the department reporting directly into the Operations Manager. The role will be challenging but highly rewarding. Key responsibilities: •Work closely with the Operations Managers to deliver key HR initiatives and support Operational goals •Support the Operations Management team with any people related issues •Recruitment; Employee onboarding and Talent management •Organizational departmental planning and development •Performance management and improvement systems •Employment and compliance with regulatory concerns •Policy development and documentation •Reward and Recognition/ Benefits management and administration •Employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health •HR budgets and metrics •L&D (Training; Apprenticeships; e-learningemployee platforms) •Payroll administration experience would be advantageous The HR Manager will have (Desirable): A minimum of three years in an equivalent HR leadership role in hospitality and/or retail industry would be ideal. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organization, preferably CIPD qualified Good/Excellent understanding of current UK Employment Law Acute understanding of ACAS code of practice Excellent organisational, planning and project management skills, ability to manage many tasks concurrently.
