Overview
Senior Software Engineer (Demandware) The purpose of this role is to support our teams across retail, wholesale, and ecommerce. The work will include developing new websites, channels and functionalities as well as supporting the current ecosystem for support issues. Actively participates in projects and working parties to support projects and teams, using different project methodologies to include agile and waterfall. The role will also be called into working with teams in other regions to build truly global processes around development, QA/release management so that the organisation is in the best possible position to deliver global projects across all channels. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The main responsibility of this role would be to support the existing web team on the support issues, enhancements and projects for the online business. PERSON SPECIFICATION Looking for someone technically strong on an eCommerce platform (in particular Demandware) who should also have exceptional programming skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/JQuery development experience. Experience with Node.js (express framework) and integrating with 3rd Party systems (via RESTful/SOAP APIs) would be valuable in order to deliver specific back-end activities.
