Overview
Junior Data Engineer £40,000-45,000 Edgware Road We’re working with a technology company in the energy sector who are building software which utilises AI and machine learning to deliver data-driven savings on renewable energy to their customers. Their technology helps manage distributed energy across the national grid to radically reduce electricity costs and provide flexible capacity to enable a 100% renewable energy system. There’s a friendly and flexible working environment with the opportunity to work from home at times (e.g. 1-2 days a week). They’re looking for a Junior Data engineer to work with Python, Pandas, Azure and Mapreduce to build on their existing data pipeline which supports various business functions. You'd work with Data Scientists, Devops and Development in an agile and collaborative environment. They're open to Junior and mid level candidates with a good understnading of the theory behind data warehouses and some good scripting skills in Python in addition to knowledge of ETL pipelines. They have an exploratory approach and often try new technologies to solve problems best recently they've trialed Airflow from Airbnb for building scalable data pipelines. You’d fit in within a multi disciplinary technical team with broad scope to learn new things and interact with the wider business. They have a best tool for the job approach and are highly agile.
