Raw Materials & Specifications Technologist Job ref: 62610 | £30,000 - £35,000 | Mid Wales / South Wales The company This highly successful and rapidly growing food manufacturing business is looking to recruit a dedicated and bright individual for the role of Raw Materials & Specifications Technologist. Operating from modern facilities and established for over 20 years, the company has a diverse and endless portfolio of products and mainly supply to businesses. The job As Raw Materials & Specifications Technologist, the purpose of your role is to ensure site technical documents and records are up to date. Key job duties: Ensure finished product specifications are generated in approved customer formats and own brand products to agreed timescales. Accurate inputting and maintenance of online retailer & supplier portals including the management of information flow and accurate input for the NPD process Review and maintain up to date raw material and packaging specifications Generate and amend packaging information, which complies with legal and customer requirements Approval of new raw materials and suppliers Manage raw material specifications and documentation ensuring legal compliance and full traceability Dealing with customer and suppliers for queries, specifications reviews and SAQ’s Your experience You will ideally be educated to a degree level in a food science, food technology or nutrition discipline and possess good technical experience from within food manufacturing. You will have experience of completing raw materials specifications, obtaining information from suppliers and finished product specification writing on retailer portals. You will also be able to demonstrate an understanding of HACCP principles, nutrition information and food law legal labelling. More details The Raw Materials & Specifications Technologist job is based in the Mid Wales / South Wales region and is paying £30,000 - £35,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30 am – 5 pm.
