Overview
Our client is a Lighting manufacturer based in Ashton-Under-Lyne and they are looking for an experienced cleaner to join their team. Immediate starts are available for the right candidate. This is an ongoing temporary opportunity with the potential to lead to a permanent position for the right candidate. Hours of work: Mon-Thur 07:00-15:00 Fri 07:00-14:30. Job Purpose: To provide, under the direction/instruction of senior staff, a clean and hygienic environment which meets specified cleaning standards. Key Responsibilities: Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restrooms, locker rooms, corridors/stairways and offices Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs Ensure that cleaning stores are kept clean and tidy and equipment is stored correctly and safely at all times Follow all health and safety regulations/wear any items of personal protective equipment as specified by your line manager Ensure that all requirements in relation to COSHH are adhered to Adhere to site/cleaning colour coding policy Ensure the appropriate safety signage is used at all appropriate times e.g wet floor signs/ cleaning in progress sign Ensure all waste is disposed of and segregated correctly/ litter pick Maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene is all areas at all times Comply with all policies/procedures in relation to housekeeping/infection control/ security Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects including the use of ride on machinery/scrubbing sweeping floors Key Skills: Have the ability to work proactively and on own initiative Able to carry out any reasonable requests Flexible in working additional hours Have a keen eye for detail Flexible and proactive approach Excellent on site facilities for all staff including a subsidised canteen, free drinks machine for hot and cold beverages and private car park.
