Overview
A Technical Translator is required by a leading biotech company in Oxford, to take ownership of a portfolio of documentation in Mandarin. The Translator will be responsible for the translation into mandarin of a range of technical documents including product manuals, catalogues and protocols as well as ongoing maintenance of the portfolio. This role offers the opportunity to build very strong relationships with R&D, Production and the wider business team and would suit someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ideally the Technical Translator will be a native Mandarin speaker, with fluency in English, and come from a scientific background with a degree in a discipline like molecular biology. Previous scientific or medical writing is not essential, although advantageous, and our client is extremely happy to consider scientific professionals with the right background who are looking to get into a technical Translator or Writer role.
