Overview
BI Developer Caerphilly £ very competitive Monday to Friday, 9.00 am - 5.00 pm Meridian Business Support are currently looking to recruit a BI Developer to work as part of a fast growing and forward thinking team based in Caerphilly. Please note, data warehousing experience is essential for this role. We are looking for a candidate who has proven experience within a business information role. You will have the ability to liaise with business stakeholders and systems developers whilst using your own developed project management skills. You must be able to work under pressure and deliver to agreed project deadlines, as well as being able to react to ad-hoc requests as and when required. Duties to include: Assisting in the development and delivery of key projects throughout the business. Working with end users to understand processes and data requirements. Developing, supporting and managing existing MS SQL data warehouse. Developing and supporting new and existing data models from data warehouse to allow self-service reporting. Supporting business information team in the development of company KPI dashboards using PowerBI. Assisting with general enquiries with the Quantum Control ERP system. Assisting with development and support of company CRM system. Any other duties as directed by the Business Information Manager as appropriate to level of experience. Essential criteria: Excellent commercial understanding of data warehousing using proven methodologies. Excellent knowledge of using and developing in Microsoft applications, primarily Office 365. Strong understanding of ETL and automation using Integration services. Excellent knowledge of relational databases especially ERP systems. Excellent understanding of SQL (Microsoft and Oracle). A proven understanding of the Microsoft BI Stack. SSIS / SSAS / SSRS. Excellent problem solving and communication skills. Must be able to work proactively on own or as part of a team. Ability to work to agreed deadlines following a project-based approach. Relevant commercial experience. Desirable skills: Experience using Quantum Control will be advantageous but not essential. Experience of reporting and delivery of KPI dashboards in both SSRS and PowerBI. Microsoft PowerApps and Microsoft Flow Integrating systems on different platforms Interested?
