Applicants are invited to apply for the above vacancy within the Container Division based at the Port of Liverpool. Role Purpose: To deliver a proactive, innovative and generalist HR service to provide pragmatic, creative and business focused HR solutions and recommendations. This role will include the following responsibilities: Provide generalist and operational HR advice to support the business in achieving organisational goals. Tracking and co-ordinating a high level of case work, including grievances, disciplinaries and absence management Act as a single point of contact for managers and employees Provide advice and support in work reviews, change management, workplace relations including relationships with any relevant Trade Union Updating and maintaining HR Information Systems data Support workforce planning with managers sourcing relevant MI information to inform the process. Proactively manage short and long term sickness and ill health capability issues, liaising closely with managers at all times. Provide assistance with continuous improvement projects and internal audit work Support the business with any HR related activity derived from the HR objectives Applicants interested in this role should ideally possess the following skills and experience: Ideally be CIPD qualified (minimum Level 5) or working towards The ability to manage large workloads and prioritise work effectively Ability to use a HR information system, including accessing, inputting, and compiling data HR experience in an industrial/operational environment would be beneficial Strong organisational skills Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse employee group Full valid driving licence
