Overview
You will prepare details, plans, sections and general arrangement drawings as required to enable approval, material procurement and installation constraints for all aspects of roofing and cladding systems. Become conversant with the project specification, estimate and enquiry drawing that form the basis of each order. Highlight any variations between enquiry drawings and construction issue drawings ensuring that variations generated by the receipt of new information are highlighted. Attend regular meetings to discuss the project, identify particular design areas needing attention and clarification of the scope of work. Prepare weekly progress reports for each contract in accordance with the programme. Establish and manage sub-contract design packages and liaise with structural engineers to identify technical calculation requirements. The ideal candidate with have HNC or equivalent ideally in a design related subject. Proficient in AutoCAD, 3D is desirable and ideally have knowledge with roofing/cladding or facade.
