Overview
Brilliant Product Manager role based Shrewsbury £32-£38,000 DOE. My client is a leading b2b business with very exciting plans and a brilliant culture, we are looking for a commercially minded product Manager to join the team The successful candidate will be passionate about Product Management and and have a min 3 years as an assistant product manager or similar. The Product Manager will have responsibility for the management and performance of the product range. With a deep understanding of the market's requirements, the Product Manager will optimise a product offering which drives bottom line growth. This role supports the company's strategy to create high-performing, market-oriented offers through simplified product ranges and value-add propositions. These plans will consider and define all areas of the product mix, instructing lifecycle management, new product introduction, pricing, promotion, and data management. A major element of this role will be to simplify and enhance the current portfolio; creating concise, market-centric core product ranges and taking them to market with clear, unique, value-adding propositions. This may include buying support and advice, curriculum content, training, technical support and others. There will a requirement to maintain product data and assets in the company's Product Information Management (PIM) and ERP systems according to the defined data structure. The role takes responsibility for pricing strategy of the relevant products ranges, and the application of that strategy in the price setting process. This will require a working relationship with the Procurement team to drive the sourcing of fit-for-purpose products at the right price. Responsibilitys: Product strategy - develop strategic plans for each category/range. Set performance tracking which provides insights and actions. Lifecycle management - manage products from inception to launch to performance peak to discontinuation to disposal (Introduction, Growth, Maturity, Decline). Product development - collect and use market insights to drive the development of machinery ranges and own-brand machinery products and their go-to-market propositions. New product introduction - identify opportunities in the marketplace which warrant the addition of new products and ranges into our portfolio, and work with Purchasing to bring in those products and ranges. Pricing - set pricing strategies and set and manage pricing for the product portfolio. Promotion - create core content and collaborate with Marketing Communications to develop rich, engaging, sales-driving listings, collateral and campaigns. Data - create and maintain structures and standards for all product data and product assets. Maintain a high level of product data quality and completeness. Environment analysis - develop deep understanding of markets and their needs. Understand competitor landscape. Understand supplier offerings. Use environment understanding to drive portfolio enhancement. What we are looking for: 3 years' min experience in Assistant Product role / Product /Category Management, with responsible for the full product mix. Demonstrated experience of significant bottom-line growth through range development.
